Psychology

The Psychology Graduate Program prepares students for careers in both academic and applied settings. Psychology department faculty members are very accessible to students and research opportunities are available in a wide variety of labs and projects. Although the department is one of the largest in the country, they have developed procedures that not only allow each student freedom in planning an individualized program of study but also permit collaborative work with a small group of staff members.

The department is organized into six areas, including Biopsychology, Clinical Science, Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience, Developmental, Personality and Social Contexts, and Social. There are also joint programs with Social Work, Education and Women’s studies. Furthermore, the research being led by Psychology faculty allows for collaboration with other Rehab Robotics disciplines, such as Biomedical Engineering and Neuroscience.
